There are two times you can join Medicare Advantage – the first being the Initial Enrollment Period, and the second being the Annual Enrollment Period.
The Initial Enrollment Period begins three months before you turn 65, and ends three months after.
If you did not sign up during Initial Enrollment, you will have to join during the Annual Enrollment Period. This is not for first-time policyholders, as you’ll need to be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B first. Annual Enrollment is from October 15 to December 7.
