Medigap Plan G is the second most comprehensive Medicare Supplement plan, right after Plan F. If you do not qualify for Plan F but want as much coverage as possible, Plan G may be something to consider. Medigap Plan G pays for the following:
  • 100% of the Part A coinsurance and hospital costs
  • 100% of the Part B coinsurance and hospital costs
  • 100% of the cost of the first three pints of blood
  • 100% of the Part A hospice coinsurance or copayment
  • 100% of the Part A deductible
  • 100% of the Part B excess charges
  • 100% of the skilled nursing facility care coinsurance
  • 80% of the charges for emergencies in foreign travel

What Does Plan G Not Cover?

The Plan does not pay for the Part B deductible

Please note that Plan G also offers a high-deductible version in which you pay Medicare-covered costs up to $2,700 in 2023.
